The Covenant Must Cleanse You Before It Can Bless You ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor [@wlbcigc]

Topic: The Covenant Must Cleanse You Before It Can Bless You [Monday April 4, 2016] “When Jesus saw their faith He said unto the sick of palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” (Mark 2:5)
In Mark 2:3-12, the Bible narrates the story of a paralyzed man and how he was healed. The worst thing about a paralyzed man is that he cannot move forward from place to place though it is the will of God for everyone to move forward in life. Some people are also experiencing paralyses in their marriages, engagements, businesses and in different areas of their lives.  Paralysis as
marriages and engagements is characterized by a cycle of obstacles and disappointments ranging from financial problems to a misunderstanding that does not allow the normal marriage procedures to be contracted. Sometimes paralysis is not anyone’s fault but evidence that there are satanic blockades. Healing awaits you. Amen
In the healing process of the paralyzed man (Mark 2:5)  Firstly, Jesus declared, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” Why “Your sins be forgiven thee” instead of “Be healed”? It is because before the covenant can bless you, it must first cleanse you. The man had faith to be healed but not for his sins to be forgiven. He wanted the healing more than the Healer. Proverbs 28:13 says: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.” Secondly, (Mark 2:11) Jesus said, “I say unto thee, Arise and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. The man was able to arise because his sins had been forgiven. If you are in a paralyzed situation or experiencing stagnancy, you must understand that Jesus wants to bless you but before he does that, He wants you cleansed by His blood. He wants your life to be salted. Open up to the cleansing power of His word and blood.

Prayer/ Confession: O Lord, have mercy on me. I confess my wrong doings, forgive and cleanse me so that I may be salted, in Jesus name, Amen!
In the name of Jesus, I address paralysis in my life and command it to stop. I command the life of God to enter me right now. I receive my miracle, in Jesus name
Word of wisdom: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach.
